yes it unscrews. leaverage not the right word. cant undo with figer tips due to my massively buff arms. Have taken wheel off and tried screw driver through the peep hole. So i guess theres no tricks. Will perservere. |

I have just fitted a new speedo cable myself todayin the LS.. I had to take the radiator out to do the job ( I have modified the radiator surrounds to make it easier to remove). Put the new cable in, put it all back together, took it for a run and the speedo didn't work, so had to do it all again but have not tried it out yet as that will have to be a tomorrow job.. ![]() |

I swapped my cable over a couple of weeks ago. Navigated my arm through the engine bay from the top (the bottom is impossible) and managed to unscrew it after alot of perseverance. Someone mentioned that they disconnected to radiator hose to allow their arm to reach further in, you might wanna give that a go. |

I tried just taking the bottom radiator hose off first but I still couldn't get to the cable connection so thought I may as well the the whole hog, which in the end was probably the best and easiest way for me... The arm should heal in another week or so from all the scratches and nicks.. |

I put a cable in Morris last week. Drop the Uni, its the easiest and quickest way. |

mmm have been trying that also. i get the cable at the bottom but the spoke on the end dont go in far enough to enable me to screw it on.?????? ![]() ![]() as it has been running with out the cable i think is has accumulated some gunk in there... does the part that gets screwed on to come off to enable cleaning the crap out. not sure myself. |
