Hey Guys. Does anyone know where i could get a Weber second hand? Or are they hard to find? And also is porting a head easy? and if so where could i get all the grinding stones and stuff from? Thanks Blake |

If you are going to have a go at grinding your ports dont go too crazy and grind too much out. Watch out for the push rod holes on the inlets and water jackets dont cut into them. David vizards book has got some good info on porting. After you have shaped and polished get the ports flow tested to make sure they are gana do the job

Thanks Blake Look on eBay, and www.trademe.co.nz. Also consider a Dellorto, which look and work the same- these were fitted to Alfas for many years and there are probably more about s/h. For a road car it makes no difference. Best advice re porting is go buy Vizard's book- `Tuning BL's A series engine', it worked for me. Thanks Blake Hi Blake...your engine is an 1100 and the head will need work...people usually recommend a 40mm Dellorto for such an engine. |
