Thats the part you need alright, but does it include the large supply of swear words you'll also use while doing the job?

Highly doubt it. But you could always ask the seller a question in regards to the swear words.

I found you can reduce the number of words needed by tossing the %^&$# circlip once it's off, then bending the sheet metal C-shaped lever that it holds outwards, so no more need for the clip.
Worked in mine for 13 years now... 8)

Doc - that's why you get paid the big bucks! Having spent 2 hours fixing mine, and using every swear word known to man, I wish I had thought of that! :? I wish you lived next door to me!

A trick I learnt for doing the job is to shove a lot of rag down in the door so that when you drop the circlip and the small screws that hold the handle on etc, they don't drop right down the bottom of the door, and you can get them back again. Its a job well worth doing, they look much better with their handles not sagging. Though it is really frustrating when you finish and discover that they now point upwards slightly.

While it's off it's worth adjusting the number on nylon washers on the handle, so it's not sloppy anymore.

This is something I'm planing on doing soon. Any tips? Those nylon washers where do I get them from or can I just use some oiled/greased metal washers?

I just pinched some off an old handle..
I guess you could use a flat washer at the end to take up some slack.
You want it to turn smooth but not be sloppy up and down.

my drivers door handle comes past the retainer and goes up enough to sit on top, can this be fixed on the inside? is this what you meant by the nylon washers?

I bought the spring about a year and a half ago and it's still sitting in the envelope. If I start the job and can't do it, I wont be able to get to work.
