Post subject: | Sandblasting |
I have the opportunity to grab a sandblasting cabinet. Its not massive but good enough to do some bits and pieces. In terms of wheels im not entirely sure yet....will find out later. I just wanted to know if people are at all interested in having some small sandblasting work done, and at not too dear prices ![]() If so I might grab 'er! ![]() |

Yer maybe...I use to have a Garage that I could not use in the old house,,,it had a driveway 45degree angle and 2 meters long. No clearance for a car at all. So ever job I had to do was on the grass ![]() ![]() |

Gafmo, I've got a sandblast cabinet from Hare & Forbes ( a top-loading one on a stand, rather than the larger side-load type). I reckon I could fit a clutch cover in mine. A gearbox casing would probably just fit but would probably be too heavy and too awkward to do. KB |

Post subject: | Make your own sand blasting cabnet |
I made my own cabnet. Used an old oil tank for house heaters. They come with legs and all. Used a drill and jigsaw to make the necessary holes and stuff, bought a cheap sandblasting kit and I'm away like Flyn. In hind sight I should mave made the door a full side panel then I could have fitted the bonnet in!! PS: you need a fn big compressor to make it effective, I ended running a 16cfm straight from the tank with an inline moisture trap, now it works well!! |
