Hmmm, don't think i've ever experience negativity to that degree. The worst would be a car-load of teenagers sitting beside me and one of the passengers typing out "Mini's are gay" on some LED display thingo, then sticking it against the window so i could see. Oh well. |

I think he could always get off on insanity - minis are great for many things (oil on your driveway, suspect rain proofing, dislocated shoulder when attempting to get some back seat action) but dragging Skylines is not one of them. And thats fair as skyline drivers deserve all the kudos they can get to deal with their acne problems and the stress of their Stratfield car radios career path. |

The way these laws work in NSW- if you do `get off' I bet it'll still cost you the $1,160 storage fee, a few $K to your legal eagle, and probably lose the RTA points too. ![]() You are still `guilty' apparently even if you prove yourself innocent. |

I got the finger and the guy swearing at me in his Holden Commodore/Senator thingy... He was angry because I was going too slow for him ![]() I was going slow because we were on a stripped road and there was gravel EVERYWHERE ... so I didnt want to kick up rocks on other peoples cars... Moron.... I just drove off, ignore the idiots. Peter. |

And its just giving us car enthusiasts an even worse public image when people are conducting traffic light races. Minis are not that quick in A series form. I doubt you would of been quicker then a RB25DET skyline. Take it to the track if you wanna race. |

About 12 months ago I had a new HSV pull up beside me at the lights. With a quiet wir of the passenger window sliding down the driver (wearing a $1k business suit on a sunday morning) looks across at me and comments on the good condition of the "old" Mini - I didn't have the heart (or time) to tell him it was a '94 import, besides the window wirred back up again straight away. The lights changed and he took off on the limits of his traction control. I was running late and took off quick as well and kept within a car length of him. Like most traffic light races we stopped again one block down at the next lights. The window wirs again, he says it's also good that it still has plenty of power and that I drive it "right" - another wir and the lights changed again, he takes off again and I turned off at my street. He may have been a w@nker with more money than sense, but he made me feel good for a while. |

Props go to you for obviously keeping your cool and being able to shrug it off. ![]() |
