ur new to minis hey! a310 motor is a 1275 coopers / clubman gt block, bored out to 1310 you could never buy a 1310 new afaik cheers jamie |

Mini spares in the UK are building (from what I understand) to be brand new motors. Of course to get one here you would need to factor in freight, duties, ..... I'm sure any number of people could recondition one from a low km A+ motor. |

If a motor is rebuilt properly without cutting corners it is every bit as good as a new one. Pete |

Pete Yep, with the possible exception that things like original EN40B 'S' cranks are getting both hard to find, and possibly brittle when you do find one. It'd be nice to find a new one of those ![]() |

No stock of these coming from Minispares recently, apparently they are/were having trouble getting them machined for the right price. Also I hear there are only a handful of EN40B forgings left in UK now- pretty soon 1275 EN40B cranks will be cut from billets like the 970 and 1071 are already. |
