Just the winder? (I.e. just the bit you grab onto to get the window up & down?)

Just get a phillps head screwdriver - unscrew the bolt holding it in (in the centre of the handle - opposite end to where you grab) and then pull the handle off the door (towards you) - too easy!

ok... goin by the pic you have aclubby... not that it should be much different for most minis...

This is pretty much word for word from the Haynes manual i have in front of me... theae are the greatest books if you don't know your way around a mini (ike me)..

Hmmm... sems i cant find it in here - ha ha ha....

ok 1. remove the handle as suggested above
2. remove any other accessories that restrict you from taking the door trim off (i.e. door handle, locking mechanism etc)
3. remove door trim
4. now you should see the window regulater held by about 4 screws - udno these screws... but be careful of where the window is sitting cos if its up and you take the reg out its gonna get messy!

At a guess the reg will simply have a small roller in a long track and it will need to slip out one end (this is how it is with a bunch of other cars, haven't actually taken mine out of the mini as yet)...
Once the reg is free of the track you should be able to get it out through the door - one of the many holes!

Sorry if this doesn't help - could've swarn that manual would've had a step by step instructional on it that would've explained it lot better than i can!

Have had mine out but took the glass and all out. Roller on regulator sits in slot under glass so not sure if it will disengage with the glass still in. Weight of the window will only drop it all down if you dont take it out first. Must take 1/4 window out to remove main glass. The regulator cog needs to be in the right place in relation to the mounting plate or it wont fit out the main hole in the door, cant remember whether up or down, sorry.

be very careful of your paintwork and chrome if removing a quarter window. liberal amounts of masking tape on things thatwill get bumped might save you. Be really patient and careful or you end up bending your door skin.

Pay really close attention to the way the regulator is in before you remove anything. Maybe even take a photo. When I replaced mine I put the regulator in slightly wrong and nothing would fit. Had to pull it all out again.

Good luck and I hope you're not too attached to the skin on your hands...
