Earlier today I bought to 145/70 R12 Hankook K715s. $80 a pop.
Not expecting the performance from an R spec, but I can't imagine them being worse than my old Falcens.

I am trying to find some 12" tyres for my Rover, but am having no joy. The only tyres I have found so far are Dunlop R Spec tyres. I have been waiting all day for 3 retailers to call me back, and not one has. Does anyone know of 12 " tyres in WA? Prefer not to buy R specs if I can avoid it, but they must be decent...no retreads or similar nasties. CheeRS |

see here http://www.ausmini.com/tyres/ there is no middle of the road in 12" with the demise of the awesome yokohama 539 you either fit a low grip economy tyre or a semi slick |

it's not going to help you right now but I believe that in the near future the range of tyre choices may improve with some of the mini specialists arranging tyre import licences |

I had falken FKO6G's 165/60/12s and were ok for road use but no good for any club use. They go off too fast with heat  . Im now using yokohama A539's 165/60/12s which are great which there are still stocks in New Zealand

Damn. I just got some 12 inch wheels and was hoping to get the Yokohamas but after a few days of trying noone can find them. I've had to go for the Falkens. They can't be that bad can they??? |

yeah there is, and by all accounts its a pretty fair type of tyre. Dont know how you would go getting it in Australia though - anyone know who is the Continental agent? I would just go the Hankook's or whatever for thr street - Dunlup R spec (D01J, D93R) are not kind to when when you put mileage under the wheels! |

Falkens of any variety are pretty bad, yes. They're a hard compound which means they last forever on the road, but give you sod all grip out of the bargain. |

Are SP9000's no more in a 195/45R13 Tricky? Stuckey's only has one left...are they still making them? If anyone wants to try and bring Continentals in try this guy: Hayden Begbie Tyre Centre Manager - Continental Trivett Tyres PH: 02 9841 8889 http://www.trivett.com.au/Sydney/dealers/Trivett_Tyres/ They dont have them - but with enough persuasion would most likely bring them in with a few orders. |

So not only are they going to suck it is going to take ages to wear them out so I can get a decent pair.  . I'll have to drive it extra hard just to wear out the tyres...

I wouldn't drive it too hard on the falkens, you may get into serious trouble.
