i have recently bought a set of autotecnica racing seats, i obviously want to put them in tha mini. i need to get rails i can see that, just most of the rails i have looked at will make the seat to high. has anyone done this before? and what rails work well with a mini making the seat low enough? or are there other methods are there for putting these seats in tha mini?

cheerz matt.

I used a Cobra base designed for Mini with my Sparco's.

Hi Matt,

I modified the cobra frames so they sit lower by cutting the rear legs about 1.5inches and modifying the front anchor slots to allow the seat to sit lower. It's worked fine for me.

I don't think you will be able to find an aftermarket seat base that will sit ultra low. You will need to make your own base for that...

The Cobra rails allow the seat to slide back and forth, and are actually height adjustable at the rear of the frame.

If it really is a race seat, why would it be on rails? Should be fixed.
