At the hillclimb in Morwell yesterday, we had four Minis running and one of them was this..

It has a slightly worked over 1098 and has NSW reg but the new owner is from the Gippsland area but I didn't get a chance to get any more info about it..

Smokie, it has Aussie clubman doors suggesting its a chopped van. Whoever did it has done a lot of work though, grafting on a round nose is no small task either. I don't suppose you have a photo of its tailgate? That always seems to be the hardest bit to get looking right.

G'day Timbo.. No, didn't get a pic of the tailgate but I did look at it and it looked a very neat job.

The motor and gearbox were out of a Mini K but unfortunately the gearbox gave up the ghost half way through the event.

Ah, that makes sense it was probably a Mini K van with flappy door handles, to begin with. It appears to be one of the better chopped vans around. I've seen some ugly ones.

Hey Sav, you should of came and said g'day.. I drove the pooper out of the LS's little motor yesterday but got a personal best on that track of a 45.92.

I wont get a chance to better that time on that track now as there is only one more meeting there in February before it closes down and we move to the new track about the middle of next year.
