yes i know dont mix. but my question is what if its salt air from a fish tank filter system?

as everyone knows tinys got a big problem with rust atm and im trying to minimise it while i try get some cash together, i had a thought the other day that the rust has been getting worse and worse alot quicker then it should then it came to me could the salt water/air from the fish tanks filter system be causing this?

for the guys that have been to my place and saw the fish tank there is a secondary tank that acts as a filter in the garage behind tiny but behind a fridge. i was thinking would the salty air contribute to the rust problem or it wouldnt produce enough to affect it?

if so what can i do to prevent it?

did it get worse when you ate those fish and chips in the car - maybe the salt caused all the rust - :P

i dont know about that much salt in the air but i live close to the water and i have been watching Kahna get some nasty little spots, i cant belive how fast it happens, i have to deal with it soon and get an electronic rust prevention kit

that sounds like a serious problem to me.... if it's visible to you in those areas, then it's gotta be everywhere else as well. The car would be better off outside

Being salt, that tank would be heated to about 28 or 30 degrees wouldn't it?
