Last box I pulled apart it was a fiddle trying to get the selector forks back. I've got the current box stripped down with just the forks left - they look pretty good - in fact the whole lot looks excellent and apart from the sludge in the bottom and the fines jambed in the oil strainer I'd say not long overhauled -

I'm going to take it down to the Bro-in-laws carwash over Christmas and give it one thorough clean inside and out and wonder if I can leave the selectors in or take them out.

If the forks are not worn and you are not replacing them, I'd leave them in.
Just spray them with oil or WD40 after washing, or the shafts will rust... :lol:
