Hey I was at the op shop and noticed a couple hundred or so old car magazines so I picked one up had a flick through and look what I found!

Hope you can read it - if not you can save the pic and zoom in.
Really interesting specially cos its about when they stopped making mini's... :( has dates and specs. I was going to buy a few different issues cos I think these old mags are fascinating - was thinking they would be like 20c each.... Try $2!!! darn. so just got this one! Does anyone else own this article or seen it? Is the information accurate? Anyway, enjoy.

$2 is a small amount to pay for something like that.
I love flicking though old motor mags reading up on all the hype on the up
and coming "new" cars and the like. Just the general news of the days is
interesting. To find a good article on the last of the minis is awesome!
Good find!!

Cheers, Steiny

Oh yeah for sure $2 is cool for one there was a massive stack of em real good ones I would have liked to buy like 50 of them or something but $2 escalates a lot quicker than 20c! Anyway im real glad I found that one! I am always on the lookout for cool memorabilia and historical items - bought a few things off ebay over the years.... cost me bout $20 bucks to get a stack of original full and double page magazine adds from the 60's and 70's awesome stuff

Yeah 0-100KMH in 17.4 secs in a 1275 is not exactly quick. Still, the poor things were heaps detuned compared to a Cooper S, only had about 55 or 60HP, at the crank...

Yep, 55 feels about right.

Defines the word "lackluster" really...

My LS was first rego'd by Vic Roads in early 1980. It must have been amongst the last sold one would think reading this article??

Interesting article and good research fodder for our upcoming feature on the 1275LS.

Any chance we could see a larger version of the first page, with the Ebb and Flow headline? I can't read most of that one at all.

Did anyone else notice the engine shot is up-side-down?

Cheers,
Watto.
