Maybe for a full motor with decent work done on it. But for a short motor it seems a touch excessive!!

If he gets that much for it then good luck to him but otherwise I think he will be hanging on to it for quite a while!

Don't forget you're getting a mtching numbers cooper s though, just missing the body , gearbox , interior etc etc etc ..... but it does have the ID plate (so much for ebay banning sales of cars identities like this . Shame the numbers aren't visible as I'm sure there will be a matching number Mk 1 S for sale somewhere soon .

I didn't notice the ID plate. I just reported him to ebay so it should be pulled shortly - Listing VIN plates is contrary to Ebay rules.

wellll,,,, concidering the value & "hard to get"-ness of the blocks & the cranks,,, & concidering that it`s all fully overhauled, & concidering it has a matching body plate & it`s value (if it`s a genuine one) then i`d have to say it may all be about the right price

I have saved the image of the ID plate, can compare the damage to any plates on a car claiming to be a snow white 67 ccooper s!

Best i can do. If you are about to buy a cooper s in a few months pm me for a copy of the pic to compare.

It's alright , by it being removed from sale you've most likely saved him a lot of drama's for supplying an identity for rebirthing a car .

It is not a vin plate. :x :x :x
It is an ID plate. There is a big legal difference.

There is no legal requirements for an ID plate. You don't have to have one. There is no rule against fitting a different one. You can fit as many as you want.
