Do the ends look square and straight - or as if broken ? Looks sorta like part of a spring washer ??? Also what sort of diff output shafts do you have ? ( If Hardy Spicer there are little "collet" things that go on the output shaft.... they have a similar shape and sit in a groove - kinda matches the marks in the first picture) My 5c worth ![]() |

its a broken part of a whole part ![]() both sides are worn, but it would have had a crossing at diagonals pattern on it. |

Could it be a washer from under a valve spring? ![]() Sometimes engine builders will fit a washer under the spring to increase seat tension. They are sometimes serrated like that. |

My bet is it's a spring washer. Only internal place these are found (I think) is on the rocker studs..... everything else had locktabs. Unless someone used spring washers instead. |

OK then if it's a remote change or magic wand box yes there were shakeproof lock washers under the 1-2 and 3-4 selector screws. But not that type.. they are wrong. ![]() Did you lose 1st gear as well? ![]() |

You have partly stripped it- either 2nd gear, cluster or both. Usual story.... with too much torque. ![]() |
