One of the goodies that Santa bought me was a nice little mini book (who's identity will be revealed shortly) with this interesting photo in it . Anyone want to guess what Sir Alec Issigonis was putting in the mini ???? ![]() |

So was it an Issigonis project or was he just walking past when the photo was taken? ![]() ![]() I have never heard of any Leyland steam projects from any of my Leyland contacts. (unless I have forgotten it in the back of my mind ![]() Pellandini was working on steam cars and he moved back to England in the 70s. ![]() |

I saw an old coot on the Leyland Brothers once who did this to a XP falcon (I think). He used a flash boiler which raised steam by squirting water onto a red hot surface, hence very little time to raise steam. You could start off in fourth it was so full of torque. It must have been snapped up by the oil cartels and put in storage with that engine that runs on water and the flux capacitor... |
