Can anyone point me in the direction of a good explanation of how the automatic transmission on a Mini works? I have schematic diagrams, but they dont do much for me by way of explanation..!

If you can find a copy of the Leyland Black Book workshop manual it has the FULL automatic supplement in there, with flow diagrams and details on how it works. :wink:
