They aren't really that 'rare' as such as they were basically just the same but had less options (ie magic wand gearshift, extra gauges etc). I guess it's rarity would depend on how much you valued that particular model - one in mickey mouse good original condition is probably pretty rare as they have all probably been tricked up now, or have had a proper gearbox fitted, and the owner doesn't realise there car is any different from a proper K / Deluxe model. |

If you want rare, try the pov pack Clubman models. I've seen a couple of them - magic wand gearshift, central speedo etc. If somebody can clarify, I believe all the pov pack models had dry suspension? The one on Ebay does, and my mate has one too and it is dry suspension. I had always thought it had been change (since its also been retrofitted with sliding window doors and 850 boot lid). |

I can't vouch for 'all', but I had an ex-PMG pov-pack 1100 once upon a time and it was dry. |

The poverty pack came with... No Chrome around the door frame. Dry suspension. Magic wand shift. Single centre dash speedo. Cheap seats. They were not a special build just for the Government. They were a listed model available to anyone. I have no idea how many were made, I would love to see the numbers on this car just to get an idea. There was also a poverty Morris 1100. They only had one sunvisor, no heater, no parcel tray under the dash, no armrests on the doors, cheap trim, etc. There was only 125 made. ![]() |

I had one. Mine was a 70. Zircon white. Dry suspension. They should have a van prefix engine number. Door cards have no stitching like a van of the same period, along with dash, etc. They are a van in a sedan shell, pretty much. |

Feb 1966: Mini 850 $1588, Mini Deluxe $1666. I thought my Deluxe was the entry level car........ its like someone was let loose with the vinyl machine - if its not duco painted metal inside then its covereing in vinyl trim... Excuse the ignorance but, apart from the slide windows and the extra 50 quid asking price, can anyone let me know what is the obvious dif between a Mini 850/Mini Minor and the Morris Mini Deluxe / Morris Mini Cooper - circa 65/66? getting back to the topic - id think its one of those repairable drives that could be put into daily use, with a spare couple of thousand dollars - its a mini and its worth it these days. |

You got another 4 or 5HP, 8 lb/ft torque, temp and oil pressure gauges, parking wipers, better vinyl on the seats, and better front brakes (than early 850, not sure when they changed to twin LS brakes). |
