| Post subject: | UK Clubman grills. |
On my 1275LS Clubman I have what I believe to be a UK type (?) clubman grill. Now I've got one I seem to see them all over the place. I've never paid much attention to them before, socan anyone tell me why I am seeing so many of them about? Were they fitted to Oz cars at any stage?

Not that I know of. Probably these were imported as spares when the Oz stocks ran out, sometime post 1978.

When I got my first road registered mini in 1989 (a 76 base model Leyland) I looked for a new grille and several of the mini parts suppliers were selling them as a "direct replacement" for the Aussie one that was no longer availible . No idea how long the imported them for or when they started but there were a few about . |
