I bought a new set of square type clutch/brake rubber pedal pads from Karcraft recently (mine take about a year to wear out) and the new ones seem noticeably softer than the old ones (and not just because old rubber hardens). They just seem to be made of a softer compound altogether so I cant keep them on the pedals.

The old ones stayed on w/o any adhesive (just due to their flaps going behind the pedal's lips), but the new ones won't stay on even with contact adhesive, or super glue or epoxy adhesive. Has anyone else had the same problem?

The Karcraft ones seem to be look nicer but are thinner. Other retailers sell different ones which are tougher but don't look as good (poor quality/old moulds). You can't seem to win on square pedal pads! (Clubby diamond ones and the accelerator rubbers seem fine)

I would suggest contact adhesive. I glued my last ones on (5 years ago), and until recently when my brake master cylinder went, they were still going fine.

I have a Karcraft one on the Moke and I had to use contact adhesive to keep it attached.

Get them from the UK, great fit, good wear and can get them in colours!

It was loctite brand superglue from Coles. I actually bought it to repair a shoe and it was what I had to hand when the pedal rubber fell off for the third time!

It's still there a few months later, but can't really comment on long-term use. THe Moke does not get a lot of exercise.

I try to find the Mackay brand ones and I always glue them on with Quick Grip.

Araldite fixes everything where you come from, doesnt it Makka...

Must be the type, I have a set of square ones and they stay on by themselves! I always seem to wear off the grooves in them before they fall off.
