Since your 78 mini has the burstproof latches it will be easier as the doors mechanism uses rods to operate so you'll just have to connect the rods behind the door trims to the solenoids (poppers) . Making it all fit and operate smoothly is something that will take a bit of figuring out though . Just check with the legal standing of it all though too as I believe you need a seperate (mechanical) method of opening the door in case of emergency . |

You know the easy way out would be to just paint the doorhandles the same as the body. Quote: wouldnt anyone be able to open it then???
If the mechanical way is from the inside I'd not see an issue. You'd also fit central locking to control when to get in or not. It's all possible, but wouldnt be easy. |

Not quite sure on the legality of shaving your door handles. Something to do with emergency services being unable to get into your car if the door popper devices shits itself, and you can't open your doors. the fact you can't get the door poppers through any aussie sellers on ebay might point in the direction of them being illegal here in Oz. |
