There's a fair chance that the nuts under the front wings will be covered in mud and crud and probably rusted so expect some bolts to break. Your right, there is no room up under there so try a small ratchet and socket or ratchet spanners if you have some. Renew the hinge pins and bushes while you've got them off if a bit worn. Good luck. ive tried with a ratchet but the actual piece that connects to the bolt is to thick to go around it... i got one of them out because the ratchet can fit around it and theres room for it to turn, but the further one and the top hinges i cant get to. cheers |

have someone hold the door and take turns trying to undo it, also swap arms and positions that helped us through it ![]() |

I use a stubby ring/OE spanner with the ring end thinned down severely. Sometimes a 1/4 or 3/8 drive socket and U/J works. It takes time- be patient, grasshopper.. ![]() |

You've just given your age away .... As for the hinges , jack the mini up , put it on good axel stands and take the wheel off . Clean as much crud away from the nuts and bolts as you can , the cleaner the better , then give them a good spray with crc/wd40/crickets piss/whatever and leave it to soak in for an hour or so . then respray them and try to loosen them , they might come off easy or they might snap/strip/frustrate the $@#$%@#%$ out of you but just stick with it . |

So you hang around with old mechanics then or your dad plays with cars ? might be my memory but crc seemed to work better than some of the newer ones , especially on really rusted nuts like the door hinge ones . |

My old man still has a can of CRC in the garage. you can just make out the writing and the red color. He just uses a little squirt each time, it still works. WD40 worked better when it first came out than it does now. |
