im running BG's in mine and have had to screw the jet tubes down a fair way (about 60" i think ....memory fades after working on 1 to many in a day) mines only a 1293 with hepolite pistons, balaanced bottom end a wade 176 cam grind (by clive cams) and tickled metro head with slightly bigger valves (have to find my parts list to check size....hmmmm now where have i miss placed it?), bullet nosed guides, lcb extractors. anyways mine ie running a little to lean still i think....

Thanks Ballistic,,Ive heard a few people running..number 6,and cp4,.Selecting the right needle is fun and games..but should be worth it in the end...Thanks for your input..

Our 1293 with twin HS4s, Corolla rockers like yours, same filters (Ramflo/Unifilter) and similar cam (Wade 104) draws a straight line on the A/F ratio on the dyno at 13.0:1. 8)
Needles are #6. These are fixed needles, I hate the swing ones- they wear your jets. :x
