Looks a bit over priced consider how rusty it is IMHO.

About a year ago I paid $475 for a head that had been reconditioned and looked in far better condition than that one. My 2c.

Add to that price - a good set of valve springs (plus collets etc) and three hundred dollars for a head reco at a machine shop. The rust is not that much of a problem as a chemical dip will knock that out but it will need a skim, new valve guides, valve seat cutting (plus if your wise - hardened steel exhaust valve inserts) and maybe some chamber work to mach your current pistons and the correct compression ratio to suit current petrols.

henry, I did up a 202 head just a few months ago. Bigger inlet and exhaust valves, double valve spring set, chamber work, exhaust ports opened up, etc.

It cost just over $800.00 for the complete job so if you can pick up a cheap 202 then you can afford to spend more on head work...

A reco one sold on ebay just last week for $650 so any1 saying that isnt a good deal is well wrong. the price is right for what it is, but its true you can pick up one that someone else has already spent the money on and have decided to change paths, if you get one of them then you lucky otherwise when your looking for a 295head its not all that often there is a large selection on the market to chose from.

I just called the guy that was selling that head on eBay. (Nice fella). He imports them from the UK and has another 8 on the way, most are standard but 2 are modded to about stage 3 specs (wants more for those ones obviously).

If anyone is interested PM me and I can pass on his details.

They have valves etc in them and that photo was just a file photo (he couldn't be bothered going and unwrapping one and taking new photo's etc).

Well - that "couldn't be bothered" sort of quelled a lot of interest in the head. It made it almost a $1,000 head with the worked needed that was visible from that "couldn't be bothered" photo.

Perhaps a lesson for anyone trying to sell anything anywhere. Presentation i everything.

I have passed on the sellers details to Louis as he is still interested so hopefully Louis will find out all he needs to know straight from the horse's mouth (so to speak :) )

Here are a few piccy's of the heads in question. The blue-ish one is a 12G202 head, all of the others are 295 heads (some are worked, some stock, some with valves, some with out). He says he's negotiable on price if you want one with no valves / springs etc.

Sorry about the blurriness, but it was hard to hold the head, take a photo and have a chat at the same time :P

If anyone is interested let me know and I can pass on his details.
