For about the past three months, my indicators have decided to flash rather rapid. Now before you ask, all the bulbs are working and I have replaced the flasher can. Initially they did flash at the normal rate and I cant think of anything in particular that had been done around the time they went mental. Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Scott

You have a poor earth near one of the light bulbs - either in the light socket or somewhere near the blickers against the body. Its usually rust, gunk, paint or grease. It could even be the connector is fraying where its bolting to the body.

Clean them all and make sure its clean metal to metal.

If that still doesn't fix it look for a blinker feed wire that has a nick in it and is earthing against something.

If that still doesn't fix it let me point you towards a highly recommended mechanic you and I have previously recently discussed.

Green machine is good - had it on show at the Gulgong show last weekend - attracted attention. Had the mini at the Mudgee show the weekend before though.

how many lights in the circuit as the new cans are set up for 3 or more and it is the resistance of the globes that controls the flash rate as most early minis only have 2 globes per side they will flash faster.notice how fast the modern cars flash when 1 globe is out . :)
