hey guys i need to raise the mini about 20mm so im going down the hi and low option, at the moment the rubber cone on my car does crap all because the car sits on the bump stop,

q1 does this mean i need a new rubber cone aswell,

q2 is the bolt that run inside of the rubber cone too tight,

q3 can someone post some pics of the hi and low setup they have on the front

The rubber springs do sag over the years. New ones will raise it a lot as well as ride much better.

q1 - no, but since the car is sitting on the bump stops anyway, you'd be mad not to replace them, they're utterly rooted

q2 - there is no bolt running inside the rubber cone

q3 - imagine the trumpet that's there replaced with short one that has a thread instead of the trumpet and a big nut on it

isn't there a a compression spring that can regulate how much it can compress, then what is the cover for that sits on the X member on either side,

no, the hole is there so you can insert a rubber cone compressor TOOL which is used ONLY when removing and installing a rubber cone

the cover is there to cover up the hole, if left open water gets in, sits in the alloy trumpet and rots it away.. :shock: :lol:
