Try Matt Read (aka "TheMiniMan" on here). He's around that way and knows his stuff

Like NIck said, Matt Read has a great reputation, though is always fairly busy (as guys with good reputations always seem to be). He has a website, but you could send him a PM and he'll get back to you when he can.

"Busy" is that what they call bumming around surfing and riding a mountain bike and building houses and building hill climbers and building twin cam motors. How many hours a week can possibly be left for working on customer cars?

Try THEDGE at Virginia. When I was going A series they were going to do all my work ( and I'm a very picky fella )

http://www.thermaledgecoating.com.au/ ( they do ceramic coating too )

I'm very impressed with their quality of work. They're heavily into motorsport and they're very involved with Mini engines. They build engines for a racer and he's been shaving seconds off years old records so that's saying something!

They also do in-house development, making their own manifolds and head porting, etc, he's got some interesting A motors in there.

Seriously, I can't recommend them highly enough! Customer service is 2nd to none, he always has time to talk. Ask for Todd and tell him Sam with the mini sent you 8) He knows his stuff...

hee hee,,, you know me sooo well Mokesta :-)

I do try to get at least a few hours per day on customers cars tho,,,

for example--> Today i did 2 full wheel alignments,,, a full tune & service,,, i then helped set up the rear end on a Mallock clubman type race car,,, after which talked with my bank manager for an hour to extend my loan a tad for more house sh!t,,, then spent an hour or so at the machine shop sorting more bimmer twinky conversion sh!t,,, then had to put a load of washing on (& of course it started to rain) & then had to organise a root for one of my boxer dogs (Cooper) he`s such a stud--(like father like son hey? :-) ) & then i spoke with a customer about his full panel beating & spray job that we`re doing on his mini deluxe, then i spent about 2 hours playing with oil drains & water feeds to the turbo on the Bimmer Twinky moke,,, then i spent the rest of the night playing on this dam computer thing

so,,, as you can see, i do actually do lots per day

Squash fixtures tomorrow night & then i`m off to Byron bay surfing on wednesday/thursday & back into the mini shed action on friday,,,

then i`m off to Toowoomba to crew for Bruce Ayres & his son Brad with the Litre sprint car Australian speedway Titles all weekend.

whew,,,

Probly go for a down hill ride on Monday :-)
