My wife and and I just purchased our first Mini.

It's a 1971 Leyland Clubman.

We've got rego due and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a mechanic in the Southern Highlands who knows a thing or two about Minis.

What is you need done on the mini - that might make it easier to point you towards someone appropriate. But no - no-one in the southern highlands.

I presume you mean the ones in NSW.

The steering has gone and we would like someone who knows Minis to go over it, just incase I miss anything.

You wil have to trailer it but the best steering man is John Leffler who has at one time or another won just about every motor racing award in Australia.

He cut his teeth on minis and knows them backwards. He currently runs a mechanical workshop that specialises in steering and he is a very thorough mechanic.
