Hey guys, i've been doing some research into the numbers and the specifications of Cooper S replicas.

From what I can gather, there are no records kept on how many Cooper S Replicas were actually made.

If you have any information on these mysterious beasts or if you own a Genuine non-matching numbered Cooper S Replica please e-mail me at [email protected]

NB: I am only interested in genuine original Cooper s Replicas
Your car qualifies if:
* It is a clubman with cooper s Badges
* A Delux or 850 shell with any 1275 motor and disk brakes
* Someone has come up to you at a servo and stated that it's a cooper s

Any help will be appreciated.

Good luck with it anyway Ryan, I'll add you to the list in the member's mini gallery

Ok I will bite....

A record of s replicas?

Firstly that would have to rely on every TD&H that has ever thrown on s badges and a RH tank would have to register with someone that they now have made what they think to be a replica....

Secondly, those that actually spend the time to do a complete concourse replication probably would not want it known that they have a replica, and continue to convince themselves it is the real mccoy....

Unless I am missing something on a more serious note here???....

I think you would need a separate register for the replicas which won at Bathurst. They were all British racing green, two litre and had cross flow heads. They deserve their own list, away from the common cooper s replicas.

I am glad to see this register up and running. I spent a lot of time doing research and spent a lot of money trying to buy a Cooper S replica but ended up with a real matching numbered genuine Cooper S. If the register had been running I could have checked there and saved myself a lot of time. Its good to see someone has taken the initiative to set this up. Maybe next time I will end up with my dream replica and leave the real thing to some other sucker!

I have 35 Cooper "S" replicas in my yard now & i think there`s one hiding in the bathroom too, but he runs under the cupboard when anyone goes in there :-)

This register is also up and running, but i didnt advertise it because I want to keep it strictly the genuine non-genunie bathurst winners!

A "Genuine Replica Cooper S" should have the following body number prefixes....
YMA2S1
YMA2S2
YMA2S3
YMA2S4
YG2S1

The very rare "Cooper S Clubman" should have...
YG2S6
YG2S7
021A2S1M10
021D2S2M10
021D2S1M09
021D2S2M09
022A2S1M10
022D2S2M10
022D2S1M09
022D2S2M09

Be aware that people will try to fool you by trying to pass off a car with dodgy numbers. Under no circumstances should any of these cars have...
YKG2S2
YG2S4
YG2S8
