Just wondering can I fit a number plate flap on the boot lid of a 1989 Mini? What other parts do I need?

If I was going that way I'd fit the whole flappy boot lid.

Wouldn't happen though for me, I went the other way (rover lid on early car).
:D

The flap was originally fitted so you could carry stuff with the boot open. I dunno if that's still legal, and even if it is the car will suck exhaust fumes into the cabin when moving, as the rear seat doesn't seal the bootspace off.

You'll need the hinges (HYA 7234/7235) & countersunk screws to suit, plus the light & cabling (56790). But why go to all the trouble? :?

If it's made after 1988 it can't be imported into Aus legally as a whole car. So steve has to cut them up in Japan to bring the parts in. Better to get the parts and transfer them into another shell here than get nothing at all.
