Just wondering if anyone has some measurments I can go by.

Im making my own dash and i have bought all the materials, just need to mark out the shape and get cutting. (all dash paddings have been removed so im not sure where to measure :? )

Check the mini mania website. I think they had some dash template's on there. I think I found it once by searching ausmini.

Keep in mind that all mini's are built differently - so leave a bit of extra meat around the edges incase it doesn't quite fit.

Obviously the other side is a mirror reversal of this side.

Um, there used to be one on http://www.minifinity.com but they've gone and changed the site to a blog style with a new forum and I can't find the templates/measurements anymore (used to be in Tech Help Library I think)

Edit: Dagnamit - took me 5 minutes to search through minifinity and then post this reply and in the meantime the template was already posted!! - That was the one that I used, even though i only made mine a half-dash cos i didn't want to dismantle the cluster.

When I made my dash, I compared a couple of templates that I found (the one above was one of them, and it's the crap one if i remember correctly) and they can differ by quite a bit.
Anyway, I used the bigger one of what I found as a starter, and trimmed it from there.
I used 8mm MDF, but next time I'd use 10.
:D

I pull MDF out of mine, if your mini leaks like mine does the MDF can swell up and all that hard work can be ruined

Just another thing to consider

Years ago when I made one for the 850, I used 1/4" marine ply.
Much better than that `MDF" pre-digested woodpulp... bends better too.
