Post subject:  molasses warning

I just pulled some parts out of my molasses bath and was a bit shocked at the results  , (in all fairness the mix was 1:5 and I did leave the parts in and unchecked for a bit over 2 months) in my defence I'm a bit lazy  . the parts were 2 sets of front suspension arms, 1 set of rear trailing arms, 1 set of suspension arm bolts with the curve in them, a pair of rear hubs and some front subby spacers.
This is what came out  (I pulled them out and pressure washed them yesterday arvo and then left them outside over night which will explain the surface rust).

and the worst...wheres my thread gone :?:

I'm sure they weren't that rusty when I put them in but I may not have noticed. The pair of trailing arms are the only parts that came out like that, all other threads are fine :D .
Now for the experts, is it worth re-threading them?
Is it possible to replace the pins? (are the trailing arms a one piece item or is the threaded part pressed in?)
and lastly what would I expect to pay for a new/2nd hand set of rear trailing arms? and is it worth going for a new set or not?

I'd suggest you take that lot to the tip. Not worth re-threading anything or replacing the pins. Pretty well rooted IMO.
Better to find some good S/H items.
You live & learn. I left some degreaser (the water soluble stuff) in my brand new Supertool bath for a couple of months and it virtually ate the bottom out. Some of these chemicals are pretty corrosive if left unattended.
