Post subject: | 10" Dunlop Formula R's No Longer In Production? |
Last week when trying to organise some tyres for my new wheels I went to my local tyre supplier to order some Formula R's. He said he would get back to me with price and availability and when he did said that they are no longer available and that the production of them has ceased. I ended up getting the tyres elsewhere as they had them in stock but would like to continue buying them in the future so I hope they arent NLA. Is there any truth to this? Have others had similar experiences? Matt |

I sure hope they aren't, mine will need replacing in a few months. Hopefully this is false, tyre companies seem to lie a fair bit and blur the lines between no longer importing and no longer making (well the ones I've dealt with anyways). |

Well to save all this "i'll make some calls" crap, i made the effort to dial 8 numbers of that high tech telephone thingy & rang Gary's Motorsport tyres in Sydney & ask them i've D93J was still being made in 10's Peter told me he has'nt heard anything about a cease in production and he has 30 of them in stock. It's not hard people!!! Doogie |

i rang a few suppliers at work for sydney tyre centres and they said they have discontinued distributing them to local stores in sydney and melbourne. apparently they still may be in production but internationally therefore if you want them ull be paying a above average price for them. NOTE* this is a cost prices so retail could be more. stores still carry them as old stock and may still be able to get them from the distributor for a little while but its only till stocks last then thats it. hope that answers some questions? |

So is this only for 10's or does it go for the DO1J's in 12's? (Not that my set are wearing out quickly, still havn't got the car on the road) |
