hey,

just wanting some peoples opinion on this one:

ok i have a 78 clubman s and it is burnt on the inside after vandals attacked her.- would it be cheaper to buy a mini
with a shot engine or none at all or would it be cheaper to buy a mini and transfer the interior pieces in to the burnt one....???

also my clubby needs a respray..

my guess would be the engine transfer, but i shall leave it to you to ponder
thanks..

leighton
ps i have a budget of about $1000 (im 16, still at school and earn about $100 a week.)

Bloody vandals.

On that sort of budget, provided the car is still structurally sound, I'd just re-do the interior. Pull everything out, clean it as best as you can (got pics of the damage?) and just scavenge up whatever seats pop up. Used seats and carpets should be easy to come by if you don't mind the condition.

Do it on the cheap, and save what you can for the engine.

Much easier to find an interior and redo from their . Put a post in the wanted section asking for seats and see what you get , have a go yourself at making the door trims with MDF or Masonite and vynil and get one of the cheap hoodlinings from ebay .

Hey Mate

I have seats for sale, I have them on the minis in the gong website, they are also on here, I have $300 on them but the price is very very negotiable.

As for the rest of the interior, making new door cards is cheap and easy, and roof lining and carpet sets you can get cheap of e-bay.

Let me know.

Ryan

Hi Leighton, sorry to hear about your mini mate, if theres not to much structual damage I'd go for fixing her up , if you can't find any locally mate give John a call at mini king , he has heaps of seats and door cards and he will try to help you with all the fiddly bits as well.

Black isn't hard.
(I'd actually assume your interior is already black :D .........too soon? Sorry)
A can of vynil paint will do door and rear cards.
