Hey all and esp anton,

Did you eventually get that carpet thing going? what did you eventually do? cut yourself or buy moulded carpet?

I think it is finally time for me to rip the smelly stuff out of the girl and redo it, starting this weekend...

Well my carpet itself "looks" ok, the problem is underneath the carpet is chocked full with sound proofing crap that is utterly self destructing itself under there (seen it with my own eyes  ). So maybe the carpet is ok... The only way to take all the seats out and rip it all out.

I was just wanting to know what contingency I would have if the carpet was crapola...

Hey Chong......

I bought a clubby for parts and it had new carpet in it, so I used that in JAM. I'ts moulded black carpet. About $150 (front and rear) if you buy it new. Fits well...I am very happy. :D I think the benefit of the one piece carpet is that no crud gets under it. The 9 piece ones can get dirt and grass etc under it through all the joins.

My new 'K' has spare carpet...but it has seen better days. Might be good for a template if you want to make your own

Gday mate,

$150 moulded sounds good actually... where are you getting this price from? What did you use to "stick" the carpet to the body? adhesive or carpet studs?

Mine is made by Exact Fit....but there is a company called Tru Fit who charge $150 for moulded Mini carpet.

I don't have their contact details, but they have a website and would be in the book.

I've got the moulded ones in mine. I stuck them down around the edges with some Selleys Kwik Grip contact adhesive.
Whenever I want to take a peek at the floor I can peel it up, bung a bit more adhesive on and put it back down.

Moulded sounds like a solid choice then... OK strip this weekend first, then we'll see how we go from there...
