Okkher, and den I was in Devo, cruizing,, on saturdy and i decided to visit my mate Bob. And i say G'Day Bob, Bob says what you like. i say little fellas. Bob says, no little fellas, bigger fellas go normal if at the moment. And i say the usual, okkher. Bob writes on a small card. BOB. 165/75/10 = $75.00 B/STONE. and YOKOHAMA A008 = $110.00. And i says thanks Bob, and Bob says sees ya, and i saids bye. So apparently Bob tells me that the norm for minis these days are the 165 tyres, not 145, and those were the prices. AND today i visited someone else who said 145 = KHUMO ( powerstar i reckon, as the 2 on front currently are ) $72.00, and that these were the standard tyre for minis. So what should go onto the mini. I have to respectable front KHUMO tyres of 145/85/10, but the back tyres are all bent and mangled and worn to one side and have flat spots on them. So i at least need 2 newies? What to do - put 2 good front ones on rear, and then poot fatties on da front? Or get new 145's? hmmmm |

Bridgestone 165/70-10 (SF226) are not a bad tyre for just cruising about. But if you want to chuck it around I agree, go the Yokies. $110 is a bit rich- must be the freight to Tassie! ![]() BTW for early 3-1/2" wide (!) wheels, i would stay with 145s. Dunno what wheels your car wears though. ![]() |

I had a quick look at the pics of your car on your website - you want to stick with the 145's - you've got 3.5" steel rims, go 165 if you put those black LS contessas on |

Ahh good. Well the wheels already rub, so i was thinking, Fatter? = more, and more violent rubbing, so 145's it is ![]() |
