Anyone know the Mk1 Cooper S car number that the Aussie 2 screw tail light lenses started from , or any other models for that matter ......maybe in parts book somewheres ??

The PUB1056M parts book from 1969 still lists the two piece lens even though it was changed in about 1967.
The BMC Body repair guide does not list the change in lens either.

So basically I am stuffed.

I have found a listing for both the two piece and the single piece lens from 1967 but no actual change point.

which came first

the 3 screw or the 2 screw... (chicken or egg)

it's a slight hijack, but which should a '64 850 have?

i've got one of each..

3 screw early, 2 screw late. So a 64 should have 3 screws

The two screw lights are Australian made. They were made here to increase the amount of local content. The Lucas factory was next door to the BMC Zetland factory.
They were fitted from sometime in 1967.
