Post subject: | Ryco Cartridge Filter |
Been a while since i bought one of these. Grabbed the only Ryco R2200P i could find in Cairns from Rape and Co. I remember them being wrapped in plastic inside the box. This one wasnt and only came with the big round thin seal for around the top of the canister? They used to also have 2 other seals with them as well. Is this how they supply them now or has someone nicked the 2 seals? The plastic bag that the big round thin seal came in is unopened. |

Just found another 2 at Ricebarn and they are exactly the same.... Not sealed in plastic and missing the 2 seals... So Ryco see fit to up the price on the filters and also remove 2 seals from the kit... Smart marketing. |

They're just up the road from me on the way into the city. I don't think it would raise an eyebrow however if I started a one man protest outside the factory... |

Finally got a reply from RYCO in regards to these filters. Hopefully it gets sorted out and they start selling them with the other 2 seals. Hi Brad, Appologies for the delay in responding, we have found that the 2 gaskets have been omitted, as you have advised. Please accept our sincere appologies, we will have this problem rectified. Whilst your at it, could you please complain to Crosland in the UK - they have also started selling the other type of cartridge filter sans the seals for the bolt at the bottom. Very annoying. That's why I run a spin-on filter. There is less to omit. ![]() |
