If it is a HS6 it should adjust the same way as any other "HS" series carby. There should be a nut that the jet passes through under the carby.

My carb is actually a HIF44, not a HS6 like the rip off knob at a mini 'specialist' had told me, I should have known though as It came off a metro.
Can anyone please help me with the location of the mixture screw for a HIF44?
Cheers

Wyan, you probably didn't get ripped off.

Due to rarity (and the usefulness on superchargered minis  , and many other applications), HIF6 and HIF44 are generally worth more than HS6s which are fairly common and 'cheap' carbs in comparison.

no no no, I didnt buy it from there, I got it from england with the engine I bought. He is a rip off, Im not going into to much, but belive me he is. For starters, the rev counter doesnt work anymore, the bonnet wasnt alighed just bolted on, different screws have been put in all over the car, with most of them stripped, the door lock doesnt work any more, I payed for them to fix my temp and fuel gauges... not done. If it wasnt so far away from me it would have all been done, but unfortuanatly its my only car and I cant be without or I cant get to work.
And lastly the final price was WELL OVER double the original quote... I understand there are always going to be unforseen problems, but that is just ridiculus.
Anyway thats enough of a rant... Thanks guys for the help, oh and I tried the link put up yesterday but it doesnt work it says the site has been closed or moved, I wasnt lazy.
Cheers guys

Work's for me

Here's the pics and a few quotes ---

Image

It's number 4 - though somehow the drawing is a mirror image

No. 1, just above the adjustment screw, is the fuel in pipe.
No. 2, lower centre, is the fuel overflow from the bowl.
No. 3, above the spindle, is for the crankcase/engine breather. If you don't have it connected to your breather then block this one off with a blob of RTV silicon.
You probably have another short outlet pipe just below the piston chamber - it's the vent for the float and should be left open.
