I just bought a DVD recorder. One of the ones for the TV taht does away with your VCR. I'm playing eith it now and its sensational. I bought it so I can convert VCR tapes to DVD. For those who do not know I lost 22 years of motorsport I had been collecting (about 80 x 3 hour tapes) in a flood. I have been borrowing people collections to replace what I lost. At the moment I'm just convcentrating on Bathurst races. I'm working on 82,83,84,85,86,87,88 but I need more. SO if you have Tapes please let me know. If you have other Aussie motorsport stuff like old ATCC races please let me know as I will be doing them next. |

Not that I condone the illegal pirating of videos but have you checked your local libraries? I know this is one of the reasons we pay stupid amounts in rates. |

I'm interested in the process of how you are doing this as I would like to do similar. What brand is the DVD recorder, how much? HDD in built etc etc. Does it have a combo DVD/VHS or do you plug in a separate VCR as the "Master" KB |

if it hasnt got a 100 gig plus HDD I dont think its worth anything. You plug VCR in as external source copy to hardrive then burn to DVD. NOTE: Dont buy one expecting to plug DVD in as external sourceand copying DVD it does not work. Something to with Macro something or other. |
