I'm pretty sure this is a Moke sump guard and I want to fit it to a mini subframe. Is their a difference between the two subframes (Moke-mini)? because it doesn't seem to line up fully :? The front is good but from the rear (2nd pic) their is an inch gap along each side.

pfft, attach it at the front, then put the jack under it.... it'll fit properly quickly enough

you don't live in a warm climate do you??

Theirs actually no bolt holes in the rear section only in the front and side wings which all fit perfectly :D and yes it is warm up here in QLD but I have a thermo fan for security  .

Then put bolt holes in the rear section because one day your going to catch it in reverse and do a lot of damage. Apart from that its likely to flap underneath - sound annoying and eventually fatigue crack either the sub frame and the sump guard mounts.

Yep I would drill holes in the subby up the back so it would not catch when reversing :?

I might see if some of those "cotton wheel" rubber mounts fit the gap.

Kenno,,, if you fit that moke sump guard to a mini then you will be hitting just about every bump in the road with it,,, they are WAY too low for the average mini

just grab a decent "mini" one

Yes , they don't fit as snuggly to the gearbox as the nice mini ones do , probably sit about an inch lower than a bare sump and all those things that you just got over you now don't ....

But with something that solid I'll just ski over those hurdles

They're marvellous for catching the oil leaks too. Then the dirt gets into it and you have to shovel it out down the track...

so thats why I don't have any drips on the floor after 8 months, thought I had a good sealed motor from Steve, now I will have to start cleaning the top of the sump guard as well as the dip stick.
