Minispares sells a reproduction of the early Lockheed booster fitted to Mk1 Coopers over here (and english Mk2s). They also sell the MK3 Cooper servo as well. The Mk3 boosters were used on many many UK cars of the period, and parts are plentiful and cheap. The reproduction Mk1 boosters are near impossible to rebuild, the overhaul kits are unobtainium it seems at the moment, and have been for the last few years. Although they are only too happy to sell you the whole unit, they will not sell you the seals to get them going again. If there is no parts suppliers when they are new, what do you suppose it will be like getting parts a yeard or two down the track..Although the Mk1 Boosters are one of the classic Oz boosters, I personally am a little nervous of anything that can't be repaired without replacement. |

I'm not sure how people fit servos to dual circuit cars, it would make sense to fit it to the front brakes only (allowing the use of the single line servo), as the rear use very little pressure in anycase. On single circuit cars they have a pressure limiting valve in the rear subframe to cut the pressure right back. |
