Today I grabbed an old Mini exhaust flange clamp in very poor condition and chucked half of it into a tub of vinegar to see how it goes.

The half of the clamp that I am cleaning up has a bolt rusted solid into it.

Tomorrow I will fish it out and take some more photos.

I have done bits before but I have never taken pics of the result.

This should be good as I am only doing one bit and keeping the other bit in original condition.

Cleaned up.

A reminder to keep the threads clear of spam, the poolroom is the place for random posts.
Also malicious posting of comments to derail an otherwise interesting and potentially tasty (when used on potato chips) topic is not appreciated.
Repeated posts will attract a ban.

should be interesting to see what happens. In my mini the bracket that holds the sunvisor to the roof was rusty so i soaked it in coke for a few nights then wiped them with an old singlet and they came up a treat.
