Post subject:  Moke roof info wanted
Place's and costs on a soft top moke roof.

Where has people in melb been to get a new moke roof made? Straghtline motor trimming is one place I have used for other things but for a large job i wouldent mind getting a few quotes (they do great work but you pay for it). Any sudgestions, of what it should be worth and places.

Yep, straightline do very nice work.

Northern Mini have new tops as well, but they do not seem to be as high quality as Straightline.

If you scratch around for a while you might find a decent second-hand one like I did. It's not perfect but it cost me very little, and I hardly ever have the top up anyway.

The Chinese import ones are getting a reasonable report on the UK Moke forum, try contacting the bloke selling the Chinese bodies on ebay and see if he sells them.

They aren't a patch on the Straightline ones though, so should be much cheaper. I've heard good things about Ace Trimmers in Victoria too.

Mysecond-hand top was made by Boronia Motor Trimmers. I've no idea if they still exist though.
