today i went to check out a mates mini for him.
when the car is started the gear box makes a clunk noise (every couple of seconds) on idle, and when its in gear the noise stops until you let the clutch out, the car will only go at very slow speeds, and it feels like something is slipping.
what is it most likely to be?
cheers

Maybe broken gear teeth? Not a pretty sight, I've just fixed one. Bust 2nd gear in a 4 synchro box and a NEW gear (if you can find it) is well over $400 now...
So save all yer old boxes like me, U might need the bits someday... !
