The best option is to fit a Holden or Ford heater tap. You can get them from a good spare parts place (not Supercrap) They can just fit anywhere along the heater hose and not necessarily next to the heater. But this time of year you can just remove the tap and fit the hose straight into the heater. It will work well till Summer comes. ![]() |

just remove it if it summer or winter and hook the hose up directly. It only gives out heat when the fan is on any way ![]() |

![]() In a clubby it fries your toes in summer if you have the heater hose piped straight through, fan on or not... the forward movement of the car rams air through the heater leading to lobster toes. |

A clever one I saw was a heavy duty plastic sprinkler system tap. Light, cheap and won't rust. ![]() |

There is the flap to close off the air flow, but the foam used to act as gaskets in them are often decayed. So hot air leaks past when you drive. Particulalrly noticeable on the 40 degree days of last summer ![]() |

i alaways run mine without the tap, just wind down the windows in summer cause it gets a bit nasty, i only used the mini for driving to work anyways, which was like a kilometre and a half ![]() |
