The ones on my van were real easy to do. First I rang up place that does diffs and drive shafts, booked it in. Drove it to the appointment, left it there for the day. Went back at end of day, forked over moneys, drove home. Had the uni's done aswell. U may be after a somewhat more cost effective option, that would be to do it yourself!

yes we have two workshop manuals and i have a ball joint spliter at work. shouldn't be too hard surely. |

Nope not too hard at all as i've just completed NAV's CV's. Just read the manual get familiar with everything and take your time. The CV itself takes a bit of persuasion (read BFH) to come off. If the cv boots are a bit perished (even a little bit) now will be a good time to fit newies. |

ok what ya wanna do is while the car is still on the ground remove the split pin outa the castle nut get a real big breaker bar you may have to jump on it to crack it then jack the car up remove wheel drop the steering arm then this is important when you split the ball joint do the bottom one first i use a splitter for the steering joint the smallest splitter is the best . you need to drop the bottom first hmmm said that already but it is important cos if ya drop the top first it makes it a crap to get the bottom out ... i learned the hard way if ya get into troble my number is 0412 938 072 makka |
