This Sunday at Wakefield park ther is going to be a tractor pull ( whatever the hell that is ) but there will be races for the super mini's on track during the day and am led to believe that some of the old racers might just be there as well like Rocky Canto ( Dean Cantos dad ) who was one of the best racers ever in a mini |

Tractor pulling has to be seen to be believed. These are real feral machines, some have aero engines, or multiple big block motors. Pilots are brave men.. Objective is to pull a bloody big, heavy load as far as possible before it quits.. ![]() |

What a great day of mini racing and it was great to catch up with so many old faces, some mighty quick cars with Honda or Nissan or Toyota transplants, Warick Agustins Toyota powered car which he built 13 years ago mounting it to a mini box using a chain drive is still going strong and he told me he hasnt done a thing to the motor since he fited it, a Vtech honda powered car won the day but he told us he hadn't had to drive so hard ever. Would be great if some of the very fast cars from Vic could make the next meeting butthe organiser Brian told me that no one seems to know where they all went, nothing better than seeing a field of minis climbing all over each other and then everyone going back to the pits for a laugh and to help each other out, restores your faith in club motorsport. |
