That 850, ex Mick is beautiful. I saw it just before it was sold and wished I had the $ to buy it. I hope the new owners keep it going and keep the old engine with it as well as the 998.

Speaking of colours, I'm working on a 64 850 Mini that was originally SUNSET RED. I would like to see a photo of one as this one is a terrible metallic blue. Is Sunset Red in Australia the same colour as Colorado Red was in the UK?

I know a few guys were restoring a Sunset Red one and I would appreciate a photo so I can persuade a certain person to have this one resprayed.

Thanks for the forum, I am an old owner who has come back to Minis after I sold my Black 64 850 to my brother in 1982. He owns the blue one and I'm saving up for one of my own....after all I did buy an 1100 engine and gearbox off Mick before he went OS.

Now, a 1100, extractors, 1.5 inch SU with a 850 slide window body and perhaps twin tanks again....

I think I'm dreaming.
