Post subject: | Sportpack flares + ? |
Okay so I received my sportpack flares from minisport the other week. I was just wondering what wheels would be needed to fill out the flares so that the tyre sits flush with the edge of the flare...? I was thinking some 13x7 superlite's with 1" spaced drums... would this work?.. would I have to trim the front guards so that there is clearance on full lock? ( already have the templates ) some pics of mini's with sportpack flares & 13x7's would be great also if ya have some floating around. ![]() Thanks fellas. |

Guard trimming is a garantee. The combination you have picked should get the desired outcome, but make sure you have a disc front end. I'd also suggest you check the ball joint and bearing condition of the front hubs too. ![]() |

Is the disc front end really necessary? I mean.. If i had the funds to do it i would.. lol.. but working after school is gonna take me afew months to save up for the conversion ![]() whats the pros and cons for the disc front end when using larger wheels? |

The car will still stop with drums and 13s, but wont be as effective. I wont spin off a heap of big words like inertia or rotational mass, I'll let you discover them. Discs are just a highly recommended thing, like when you have a 1275 engine (or in some states its law). ![]() |
